MOORESVILLE – Ryan Alexander, a junior at Western Carolina University, won a hot-air balloon ride at the June 28 grand opening of Aquesta bank’s fourth branch, on Brawley School Road.

Alexander also happened to be the first new customer at the branch’s “soft opening” on May 25 in the Mayhew Shopping Center, at 1078 Brawley School Road.

Members of the Lake Norman and Mooresville-South Iredell chambers of commerce held a ribbon cutting, and children enjoyed a money grab booth, moon bounce and popcorn.

Alexander won a drawing to get a ride over Lake Norman or the Yadkin Valley. A Mooresville native, Alexander is pursuing a BA in English and working as a lifeguard and pool manager for Aquatech Pool Management in the summer.

At the celebration, Cornelius-based Aquesta also introduced the Aquesta Concierge Club, which will reward the bank’s best customers with special opportunities such as wine tastings, cooking classes and sailing lessons.
