HUNTERSVILLE – The Charlotte Symphony will perform its annual free concert June 17 at McGuire Nuclear Station’s EnergyExplorium.
The concert begins at 8:15 p.m., and boats may anchor in the EnergyExplorium cove at the southern tip of Lake Norman. Led by Albert George Schram, the symphony will perform its Musical Travels program.
Admission and parking are free. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic and come early to get a spot on the lawn. The East Lincoln High School Band Booster Club will sell snacks and drinks.
“Last year, we had our largest crowd ever with more than 9,000 … and 150 boats anchored in the cove,” Valerie Patterson, communications manager for McGuire, said in a news release. Find more information online at www.duke-energy.com/energyexplorium or call 1-800-777-0003.
