CORNELIUS – Republican U.S. Congresswoman Sue Myrick, N.C. 9th District, will host a town hall meeting June 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, 19900 W. Catawba Ave.
Myrick will speak on issues ranging from the economy to job creation and government regulations. Earlier that day she’ll meet with investors of the Lake Norman Regional Economic Development Corporation and larger corporate members of the Lake Norman Chamber.
Myrick serves as the vice chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, which is the oldest legislative committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. The committee is the broadest legislative responsible for public health, telecommunications, energy, consumer protection, food and drug safety, air quality, environmental health, and interstate and foreign commerce. She is also a member of the Health subcommittee.
