DAVIDSON – Business Leader Media recently ranked Davidson Day School the No. 11 in greater Charlotte and No. 121 in the South in its 2011 Top-100 Small Businesses in North Carolina rankings.
Davidson Day officials say they are particularly proud of being the only school to make the list. Despite the economic downturn, Davidson Day achieved an annual enrollment growth of more than 20 percent last year.
“Being recognized for outstanding excellence in our field is an incredible honor for us,” Head of School Bonnie Cotter, said. “Our faculty, staff, trustees and families have made our amazing growth possible during this difficult economy and have enabled us to continue delivering excellence in academics, arts, athletics and service to our community. I am very proud of all that we have accomplished and look forward to our bright future.”
All winners were honored at a ceremony June 22 at the Holiday Inn Charlotte Airport Hotel and will be featured in the August issue of Business Leader Magazine.
