DAVIDSON – Project for innovation, Energy and Sustainability, the business incubator known as PiES, has attracted three new business in 2011: Energy River,   Eco-Revolution and Climate Control Systems of the Carolinas.

Energy River is a home-energy management and utility services company dedicated to providing home solutions for the consumer and answers for utility providers to reduce their peak demand. The firm has five employees and plans to add more by year end.

Richard Lloyd-Roberts founded Eco-Revolution three years ago as a business-to-business service offering energy efficient lighting with a team of direct-sales experts. The firm has three employees and 10 independent sales representatives spanning the country.

Climate Control Systems of the Carolinas, a division of CoolingTheCarolinas.com, has been in business for nearly three years but decided to launch its newest product innovation from PiES. Founder Randy Rutkai developed a new solar technology from his efforts with his outdoor mist-cooling company. This consumer product is under development with a patent pending.
