CHARLOTTE – The 50th annual meeting of the General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Church will take place Wednesday through Sunday, June 22 to 26, at the Charlotte Convention Center.
More than 5,000 people will join in worship services and hear from speakers such as religion scholar Karen Armstrong and Sufi Muslim leader Feisal Abdul Rauf. During the General Assembly, Unitarian Universalists will reflect on the denomination’s relevant achievements and struggles and chart future goals.
The public is invited to the June 30 morning worship service from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the convention center’s center hall.
