HUNTERSVILLE – A man forced an employee of the Radio Shack at Northcross Commons into a bathroom at gunpoint before stealing cash in a midday robbery Sunday, June 19.
Police said the man entered the store shortly before noon with a semi-automatic handgun, forced the employee into the bathroom, took the cash, forced a second employee into the back of the shop, then ran away.
The suspect is described as a black man, about 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 175 pounds. He was wearing a white or light grey flat-brim baseball hat with an insignia in the center, according to witnesses. Police believe the man left the store in a small, tan pick-up truck, going west on N.C. 73.
Anyone with information should call Huntersville Police Capt. Michael Kee at 704-464-5400.
