HUNTERSVILLE – With the Town of Huntersville, Birkdale Village will host its eighth annual Fourth of July Celebration on the Monday national holiday, with activities lasting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Admission and parking are free, and children can participate in bike decorating, face painting, a clown bounce, children’s arts and crafts and a parade. Children and adults can watch a water fight between Huntersville fire stations and enjoy music and food. Earth Fare, the supermarket chain opening on Gilead Road, is the main sponsor.
