DAVIDSON – Led by owner Sandy Bowers, Monkee’s of Lake Norman and Monkee’s on Main recently raised more than $1,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on behalf of friend Summer Hall.

Bower’s mother, Marian McGowan, died of cancer. Monkee’s of Lake Norman employee Lane Dunker is a cancer survivor. Hall raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which supports research and awareness about the disease, and enlisted the help Monkee’s of Lake Norman. The boutique at 624 Jetton St., suite 130, donated a portion of its sales on May 7.
