James A. Wallace
CORNELIUS – James Allen Wallace, 53, of Chartown Drive, died May 24, 2011, at his home.
Born July 29, 1957, in Birmingham, Ala., Mr. Wallace was a son of the late Snook and Gerta Brooks Wallace.
He worked as a paint specialist for Joe Gibbs Racing.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Wanda Killian Wallace; brother, Joe Wallace, and wife, Lynn, Brompton, Ala.; sisters Spring Dodd and husband, Randy, West Blocton, Ala., Rosalie Harris and husband, Ed, Jasper, Ala., and Janice Mahoney, Leeds, Ala; special brother, Bo Fletcher, and wife, Lana, China Grove; and special son, David Bridgemon.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 31, at Joe Gibbs Racing, Huntersville. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, was in charge.

Michael H. Brown
DAVIDSON – Michael Holden “Mike” Brown, 69, of Davidson, died May 21, 2011, at his home after a six-month battle with lung cancer.
Born Jan. 15, 1942, in Marblehead, Mass. Mr. Brown was a son of the late Carl and Nathalie Brown.
He attended the University of Colorado and New York University and worked for IBM for 30 years, living in New Milford, Conn.; Flowermound, Texas; and on Lake Norman. For the past two years, he and his wife of 46 years, Lucia Brown, have lived in Davidson.
His brother, Dr. Neil Brown, preceded him in death.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his daughter, Patricia Brown, and husband, Lane Cooper, Washington, D.C.; son, Jeffrey Brown, and wife, Christine Chen, Hong Kong; and a grandson.
A funeral service was held May 26 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, was in charge.

Otto B. Williams Jr.
DAVIDSON – Otto Bennett “Buster” Williams Jr., 82, of Davidson, died May 23, 2011, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville.
Born Aug. 27, 1928, in Mecklenburg County, Mr. Williams was a son of the late Otto B. and Edith Morrow Williams.
He served in the U.S. Army, worked as a truck driver and, in his retirement years, worked part-time at Ingersoll Rand as a security guard.
His wife, Lucille, an infant son and brother Jimmy Williams preceded him in death.
Survivors included sons “PeeWee” Williams and wife, Pat, Jeffrey Williams and Benny Williams; daughter, Judy Tafta and husband, Jerry; brother Banks Williams; sister, Jackie Cruse; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held May 25 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, with burial at Glenwood Memorial Park.

Mike M. Wunsch
HUNTERSVILLE – Mike Matthew Wunsch, 50, of Huntersville, died May 22, 2011, at Presbyterian Hospital Main.
Survivors include his wife, Luisa; his parents, Manfred and Marianne Wunsch; and children Michael Matthew and Megan Ann Wunsch.
A Mass was held Friday, May 27, at St. Mark Catholic Church. Samuel S. James, Funeral Service Licensee, was in charge.
Lillian J. Rawdon
HUNTERSVILLE – Lillian Dardnelle James “Peachy” Rawdon, 95, of the Derita Community in Charlotte, died May 25, 2011, at Olde Knox Commons nursing home.
Born Feb. 16, 1916, in Charlotte, Mrs. Rawdon was the daughter of the late Coralee Godfrey and Royal Domestic James.
She graduated from Derita High School in 1934 and then from Geyer’s Business School. She worked in the Charlotte City Agent’s office and later at Ivey’s Department Store. After marrying George W. Rawdon In 1936, she spent most of her life as a homemaker and was known for her homemade pound cakes. She was a member of Northdale Baptist Church.
Her husband, George Rawdon, and siblings R.D. James Jr., Harvey W. James, Margery J. Berry and Virginia J. Crawford preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons Warren Rawdon, Charlotte, and M.R. Rawdon and wife, Martha, Concord; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Friday, May 27, at Northdale Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Harold Smith and McCray Holmes, with burial at Sharon Memorial Park.
