CORNELIUS – A family run and walk will be held Saturday, June 4, at Jetton Park, 19000 Jetton Road, to benefit a 25-year-old mom battling a very rare form of cancer.

Jogging for Jen and Julian will begin at 7 a.m. with a 2.8-mile run or walk. It costs $25 to participate or $50 for the whole family. Raffle tickets will be sold before the event for $5 for a number of gifts, including a mattress set, boat rental and gift cards.

Money raised will go to the Kiffor family.

Jen Kiffor, a Cornelius nurse, was diagnosed with primitive neuroechtodermal tumor of the kidney, a rare cancer that has spread through her body. Kiffor recently gave birth to a son, Julian, her first child, shortly before doctors found the malignant tumors.
