Phillip J. Cole
CHARLOTTE – Phillip John Cole, 74, of Charlotte, died June 6, 2011, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, from cancer.
Born Feb. 15, 1937, in Harvey, Ill., Mr. Cole was a son of the late John and Velma Williams Cole. He retired as a manager at Lucent Technologies.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Meyers Cole; daughters Brenda Willoughby and husband, Robert, Fuquay-Varina, Catherine Heiman and husband, Harrison, Wisconsin, and Leslie Ford and husband, James, Charlotte; his brother, David Cole, Illinois; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday, June 11, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville.

Mark D. Houseman
HUNTERSVILLE – Mark David Houseman, 48, of Huntersville, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center.
Born Dec. 9, 1962, in St Marys, Ontario, Canada, Mr. Houseman was the son of Lyn Bean Houseman.
He worked as a business systems analyst in the Novant Health organization and served as assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 97.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Anne Mercedes Baron
Houseman; sons Robert James and Benjamin Christopher Leo Houseman; and sisters Lynda Houseman and Kelly Crimmins.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at Raymer-Kepner
Funeral Home, conducted by Father Patrick Hoare. The family received friends Wednesday, June 15, at the funeral home.

Carol J. Muñiz
HUNTERSVILLE – Carol J. Muñiz, 67, of Cisne, Ill., died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Huntersville.
Born in Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Muñiz graduated from Eastern Illinois University and was a member of Jacob’s Well Church in Mt. Carmel, Ill.
Survivors included her ex-husband Alfonso Muñiz; sons Kevin Muñiz and wife, Charlotte, Jim Muñiz and wife, Darcy, and Tony Muñiz and wife, Elaine; sisters Janet Anderson, Mt. Erie, Ill., and Jerrye Kopp, Orting, Wash.; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at Jacob’s Well in Mt. Carmel, Ill. Samuel S. James, Funeral Service License, is assisting the family locally.

S. Mark Daidone III
CORNELIUS – S. Mark Daidone III, 54, of Cornelius, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at his home of cancer, which he had battled since 2006.
Born May 24, 1957, in Birmingham, Ala, Mr. Daidone graduated from the University of Alabama and worked as a project manager for Airgas National Welders.
He was a member of Denver Bassmasters. At the recent FLW Southern Open Bass Tournament on Lake Norman, he finished 32 out of more than 200 as a co-angler, with the most weight caught the second day.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Lisa, and sons Alex Daidone, of Charlotte, and John Daidone, of Cornelius.
A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, June 15, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville, conducted by Father Donald M. Ward. Samuel S. James, Funeral Service Licensee, Huntersville was in charge.
Memorials: Levine Cancer Institute, to the work of Dr. Steven Limentani.
