CORNELIUS – The Cornelius Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture Department is organizing free holiday activities, including music and a movie, on July 4, a Monday, on the lawn behind Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave.

Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy music by Acoustic Soulutions. Children can enjoy a number of activities, including a trackless train and bounce house. Play Wii games and sample products in Coca-Cola’s Discovery Vehicle.

Activities will close at 8:30 p.m., so park employees can set up the town’s blimp movie screen. At 8:45 p.m., officials will screen “The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” rated PG.
