DAVIDSON – NBA player Stephen Curry and his dad, former NBA star Dell Curry, will host the second Curry Celebrity Classic golf tournament Monday, June 20, with proceeds going to the Ad Jenkins Center, a regional community service agency.
Stephen Curry volunteered at the Ada Jenkins Center while a student at Davidson College.
The tournament takes place at River Run Golf Club in Davidson and includes foursomes of one celebrity and three amateur players. In addition to the Currys, celebrities include: NASCAR’s Denny Hamlin; former UNC Basketball Coach Bill Guthridge; former NFL players Victor Jones, Tim McKyer, Muhsin Muhammad, Adrian Murrell, Brian Stablein and Leonard Wheeler; former NBA players Rodney Monroe and Mike Gminski; and NFL sports commentator Jim Szoke.
Main sponsors for the tournament are TruPoint Partners and Profit Technologies. Birdie sponsors include: Cornerstone Financial Partners, Griffin Brothers, The Hendricks Group and State Farm.
