CORNELIUS – U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 26-3 on Lake Norman will offer a boating safety course for the recreational boater Saturday, May 7, at Morning Star Marina @ Kings Point, 18020 Kings Point Drive.

The class costs $45, which includes lunch and a student handbook, and lasts from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. Those who complete the course receive a photo certification card that satisfies the 2010 Boating Safety Statute for vessel/personal water craft operator certification.
