MOORESVILLE – Duke Energy scientist Gene Vaughn will discuss Lake Norman islands and the wildlife inhabiting them at Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists’ free monthly nature program on May 12.

The program starts at 7 p.m. at Mooresville Public Library, 304 S. Main St. Vaughn will address how the public can help protect islands through the conservation group’s revamped Island Adoption Program. Jim and Jill Feldmeyer are leading the adoption program and will welcome volunteers to the program that night.
