CORNELIUS – Bethel Presbyterian Church, 19920 Bethel Church Road, will open its sanctuary on Thursday, May 5, for anyone seeking a place to pray or meditate on National Day of Prayer.

The Ramblers group holds a potluck luncheon Wednesday, May 11, at noon in the fellowship hall. Leesa Gray will give a concert on the organ.

The men of the church are preparing for their second annual retreat May 20 to 22 at the YMCA Assembly Retreat in Black Mountain. The retreat costs $160, with small additional charges for fishing or golfing. Ken Schultz is the guest speaker, and Abe Lehman is leading the music.
