HUNTERSVILLE – Independence Hill Baptist Church, 10220 Eastfield Road, will hold its 22nd annual Hearts for Missions Fun Days May 20 and 21 to raise support for local organizations.

The weekend begins Friday night with a barbecue dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. and an auction at 7 p.m. A barbecue plate costs $8, and drive-through service is available.

On Saturday morning, church members will hold a yard-and-bake sale, beginning at 7 a.m. A 5k run/walk follows at 8 a.m., and other activities begin at 10 a.m., including a silent auction, show cars, children’s carnival games, music, a raffle and food.

All proceeds benefit local missions, including Angels & Sparrows Soup Kitchen, Charlotte Rescue Mission, Huntersville Food Pantry, Hope House, Hyaets Ministry and the Independence Hill’s mission efforts in Nicaragua.
