Davidson man busted on child pornography charges

CORNELIUS – A Davidson man has been charged with 39 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after a computer repair technician found images of child pornography on his computer, the Cornelius Police Department reported last week.
Kevin Hunter Rudisill, 54, was arrested May 10 when he arrived to pick up the machine after leaving it at a Cornelius computer store for repairs earlier this month. The computer technician contacted police after finding the videos and pictures of young children in sexual poses.
Police said it does not appear any of the photos and videos involved local children.
During a search of Rudisill’s home in the Twin Oaks neighborhood, police found additional hard drives and computers as well as coloring books and crayons, police have said. A police release did not give Rudisill’s address, but an Internet search indicates he lives at 162 Vernon Drive, Davidson.
Cornelius detectives contacted the FBI to assist in the investigation and help sift through the hardware seized at Rudisill’s home.
Rudisill was released from the Mecklenburg County Jail on Monday, May 23, after posting a $100,000 bond, the jail log said. It is unclear when he will next appear in court.
Anyone with questions or for more information about Rudisill should contact the Cornelius Police Department 704-892-7773.
