ISELIN, N.J. – The Siemens Foundation has opened registration for the 2011 Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology, a science research competition for high school students. Registration and submission instructions are available online at www.collegeboard.com/siemens/. The deadline for entries is Oct. 3.
The competition, administered by the College Board, provides budding high school scientists with scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $100,000 for original research in team and individual categories. Regional competitions are held at six leading research universities.
Winners of the regional events are invited to present their research at the National Finals in Washington D.C. to nationally renowned scientists and mathematicians.
