HUNTERSVILLE – Historic Latta Plantation has added a new farm camp to its summer offerings, promising an “intense, extremely hands-on training course in all things farming for guys and girls” 12 to 17 years old.

The program takes place June 27 to July 1, costs $200 and is limited to 10 campers. Parents can reserve a spot with a $125 deposit, and the balance due by June 27. The course will include animal husbandry, historic natural farming techniques and woodworking. Youth should be prepared for labor intensive work and training. The camp is designed for those seriously interested in farming, animals and agriculture.
