HUNTERSVILLE – Hope House was this year’s Lake Norman-Cornelius recipient of Keller Williams Realty’s RED Day initiative to improve local communities.
On Thursday, May 12, more than 30 brokers and agents from Keller Williams’ Lake Norman-Cornelius office spent a day of landscaping and building a lean-to on the 4-acre site of Hope House, north Mecklenburg’s only transitional shelter for homeless women and children.
In addition, Lisa Ducharme, a Keller Williams agent, donated vegetable plants for Hope House’s vegetable garden, and Bob Fletcher, a general contractor and Keller Williams agent, donated the lumber and building materials for the lean-to, close to the children’s play area and picnic tables.
Landscape designer Jan Enright, of Jan Enright Creations in Mooresville, heads up the ongoing landscaping efforts of Hope House as a volunteer and joined the Keller Williams team on May 12. RED stands for “renew, energize and donate.”
