HUNTERSVILLE – Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics will hold a number of activities this month, including a yard-bake sale and kids triathlon Saturday, March 21.
The annual yard-bake sale raises money for the center’s Children’s Services Department and lasts from 8 a.m. to noon. Anyone can rent a sale table for $20.
Reserve a table at the middle service desk at the center, 11725 Verhoeff Drive. The sale takes place in the eastside parking lot.
The second race in the Kids Triathlon series is open to children 4 to 14 years old, but limited registration is available. The swim-bike-run competition takes place in the evening, and competitors can enjoy food and entertainment after the race.
Wednesday, May 25, is National Senior Fitness Day, and the fitness center is offering complimentary services from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., including guest speakers, vendor village, fitness demonstrations, breakfast and coffee. Come dressed for a workout.
On Memorial Day, May 30, the center’s outdoor pool opens for the summer season.
The center will host Pirates of the Caribbean IV as part of a weekend celebration, with prizes and special activities. Check the special hours at the center’s website, www.hffa.com.
