HUNTERSVILLE – Assurance United Methodist Church, 9700 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, will begin a 10-week grief support group June 9, a Thursday, and welcomes anyone in the community.

The group will meet weekly from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Organizers ask anyone interested to register by emailing Karen Gray at karen@assuranceumc.org.

Gray, director of Adult and Community Life Ministries for the church, will lead the group, using Alan Wolfelt’s book, “Understanding Your Grief.” Those participating will get a copy of the book at the first meeting. Susan Mawhinney will ask Gray in leading the classes.
