HUNTERSVILLE – The Huntersville Lions Club honored members Norman  Hertzel and Banks Miller for 50 years of service to the club and the community at the club’s April 28 meeting. Both men have served in a number of club leadership positions through the years. The Lions Club conducts fundraisers annually to support community groups, especially free vision testing and glasses for people with visual impairments and the Lions’ Camp Dogwood for the visually impaired in Sherrills Ford. The  Huntersville Lions Club meets at the Acropolis Café & Grill in Cornelius on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 7 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.
