CHARLOTTE – Residents summoned for jury duty in Mecklenburg County can now access detailed information and submit requests with a new interactive online application called the Jury Manager System.

As an alternative to contacting the trial court administrator’s Jury Management Office by phone or mail, people called for jury service can go online to http://jury.mecklenburgcountync.gov. Most residents contact the Jury Management Office about deferring their service, getting excused or replacing lost summons information. The new application was designed to manage these common requests and offers other features, such as verifying personal data information.

The court system made the online application available April 1, and the system has processed about 1,500 requests for deferral and excuse requests.
