CORNELIUS – American Legion Post 86, which is working with the Town of Cornelius to complete fundraising for a veterans monument, will hold its fourth annual golf tournament June 4.

The tournament starts at 1 p.m. that Saturday at Lakewood Golf Course, 273 Old Airport Road, Statesville. Lunch and cold beverages will be served at 11:30 a.m.

The tournament costs $60 per player, which includes a golf cart, and players can pay extra for mulligans and tickets in a 50-50 raffle. Organizers also encourage golfers to register as teams.

The tournament offers a $400 first-prize, $300 for second and $200 for third, plus trophies.
