HUNTERSVILLE – Hopewell Presbyterian Church will hold its 27th annual Picnic in the Park outdoor worship service and lunch Sunday, May 15, at 10:30 a.m. at shelter 2 in Latta Plantation Park.

The church will not hold an early service and Sunday school classes that day. Dress casually, bring a lawn chair and/or blanket and a picnic lunch to share. The church provides beverages and paper products. The shelter is located at Sample Road and Beatties Ford Road, across from the church.

The church will hold its annual golf outing May 21 at Mooresville Golf Course. The event, organized by the Men of the Church group, is open to men and women in teams or individually. The Anniversary Quilt Committee will hold an organization and planning meeting Tuesday, May 17, in room A1 of the administration building. Anyone interested in helping make Hopewell’s 250th anniversary commemorative quilt is invited. Call Barbara Cannon at 704-391-0629 with questions.
