DAVIDSON – Davidson United Methodist Church, 233 S. Main St., has three Lenten services in the coming week, starting with a meal and stations-of-the-cross service Sunday, April 10, at 4:45 p.m.
Sunday’s gathering starts with a light meal in the fellowship hall, and then church members will travel in small groups through five stations “experiencing” Easter. The event ends with dessert in the fellowship hall. The event is free and open to anyone, but please register in advance with Susan Cavasinni at scavasinni@davidsonumc.org or 704-892-8277.
On Monday, April 11, the church’s Chancel Choir, Davidson College Concert Choir and a full orchestra will perform Brahms’ Requiem. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for youth.
On Wednesday, April 13, Dr. Jody Seymour and Revs. Jeff Hassel and Ashley Pickerel will hold a seminar in room 222 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. to explore the meanings of the Last Supper, footwashing and other Easter symbols. Find more information at the church’s website, www.davidsonumc.org.
