DAVIDSON – The Davidson Farmer’s Market has hired Courtney Spear as its new market manager.


Spear has served on the Marketing Committee and volunteers with the market’s Salsa Showdown and fall volunteer appreciation event. She previously served as executive director and meeting planner for a nonprofit association management company. Co-founder of the McConnell Running Club and a parent volunteer at Bailey Middle School and J.V. Washam Elementary School, Spear lives in Davidson with her husband, Matt, and three sons.


As market manager, Spear will work with the board of directors to operate the Saturday weekly market, manage expenses and oversee vendor relations, marketing, education and events. Spear succeeds Mary Jane Leach, who is moving to New Jersey. The market’s website is www.david
