HUNTERSVILLE – Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics center will host the Birkdale Animal Hospital Kids Triathlon Saturday, April 30.

The triathlon will be broken into age groups and consist of a run, swim and bike ride. Distances will be determined by the age group participating. The triathlon begins at 5 p.m., but participants can pick up their event packets from 3 until 4:30 p.m. at the 11725 Verhoeff Drive center.

The race costs $25 to $30 to participate. Registration and more information can be found at www.hffa.com/2011kidstri.html.

The triathlon is the fourth annual for the aquatic center and is the largest United States of America Triathlon Association’s certified kids triathlon series. The aquatic center will host three more kids triathlons this year: May 21, June 18 and July 24.
