DAVIDSON – Davidson emergency responders have started the Vial of Life program and are asking for the public to take part.
The Vial of Life is a free program that asks residents to fill out a form with pertinent medical information about themselves or family members and place it in a sealed envelope on their refrigerator door or in a vial placed in the freezer.
In the case of an emergency at your home, emergency responders will be alerted to your participation in the program from a decal placed on your window and will be able to relay valuable, possibly lifesaving information to paramedics and hospital officials.
Forms can be downloaded through the town’s website, www.ci.davidson.nc.us. Davidson police and firefighters will have a booth at Town Day in Davidson on May 7.
