A summer diving league will be hosted by Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics, beginning May 2. The Lake Norman Diving League will provide children ages 9-18 the opportunity to participate in an introduction to competitive diving. The Lake Norman Diving League will have a minimum of four teams, and will likely include a north, south, east and west team.
“We have the best diving facility in the state,” said Carolina Diving Academy head coach Aaron Hintz. “Unfortunately, the local neighborhood pools do not have diving boards, so kids in the Lake Norman area don’t have the opportunity to include diving as part of their summer-time experience.”
