CORNELIUS – County officials are inviting residents to give their opinions on budget priorities at a forum Wednesday, April 27, at 7 p.m. at Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave.

County Manager Harry Jones, Budget Director Hyong Yi, Cornelius Mayor Jeff Tarte, county commission Chairwoman Jennifer Roberts and District 1 Commissioner Karen Bentley will participate in the forum, which is the third meeting county officials have held around the county on the 2011-12 budget.

Officials will talk about current budget conditions and ask residents what they consider most important in county-funded services. Jones will use the discussion in recommending a budget to commissioners in coming weeks. The new budget takes effect July 1.
