CONCORD – Cannon School received a grant of $74,049 from the Cannon Foundation for the installation of new flooring in one of the school’s gyms.

The new floor, which workers will install during the summer, will replace the current blue rubberized flooring installed several years ago, school officials said. The new flooring will enable students to use the gym for a full range of activities, including physical education and tournaments sponsored by the Charlotte Independent Schools Athletic Association and N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association.
