The Cornelius PARC Department will host the Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition for youths on Saturday, April 30, at 4 p.m. at Bailey Road Park. Pitch, Hit & Run is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball. The grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in an event that recognizes individual ability in core baseball and softball skills.
Boys and girls will compete in four age groups: 7-8 year olds, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. Age is determined as of July 17, 2011. All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and fill out a registration/waiver form.
Registration will begin on site at 3:30 p.m.
