MOORESVILLE – Elliot Eisenberg, a senior economist with the National Association of Home Builders, will lead a discussion on government housing regulations and their effect on the market April 28, a Thursday, at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main St.
Eisenberg will discuss “The Unintended Consequences of Government Regulations on Housing and the Economy” from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, which includes lunch. Buy tickets online at www.lakenormanhba.com.
Eisenberg created the Multifamily Stock Index, which monitors 28 publicly traded U.S.-headquartered firms, including 23 real estate investment trusts. With a market cap of close to $42 billion, the index is an excellent indicator of the current and expected values for multi-family assets on a national level, a news release said.
Eisenberg has written more than 50 articles pertaining to the home-building industry, and he appears frequently on television and radio. He holds a BA in economics from McGill University and masters and Ph.D. degrees in public administration from Syracuse University.
