HUNTERSVILLE – Middle school students at St. Mark Catholic School will honor the winners of the school art show Thursday, April 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria.

An outside panel of judges is picking the winners from 90 original pieces created by sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students during the past year. Fifth-graders also submitted artwork for exhibition.

Judges gave first- through third-place awards for the best 2-D and 3-D pieces, as well as honorable mention ribbons for the best entries in graphite, colored pencil, marker, oil and chalk pastel, watercolor, acrylics, sculpture, clay, textile/fiber arts and mixed media/collage categories. The winners had not been selected by the Herald’s press deadline.
