Huntersville high schools will be well represented this weekend when the 20th annual Charlotte Pro-Am All-Star Classic basketball game is played at Charlotte’s Providence Day School.
The Hopewell girls team leads the way with three players selected for the contest, which features the top seniors from area public- and private-school squads. Hannah Early, Hunter Meakin and Karoline Summerville each were named to the girls West squad. Meanwhile, North Mecklenburg High’s Tatum McKee will be a member of the girls East team.
In the boys game, North Meck’s Carlin Bremner and Hopewell’s Elliot Pope will be teammates for the West squad.
Other Lake Norman-area selections include Lake Norman High’s Landyn Mannion (girls West) and West Meck’s Sharnesha Brentley (girls East).
The all-star games will be played on Saturday, April 2, beginning with the girls contest at 1 p.m. The boys game is scheduled for 2:45 p.m.
