A Davidson Day student made a national television appearance last weekend.

Youth football standout Ronald Albritton was featured on “Sports Stars of Tomorrow,” a program about the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl played in January at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The program aired on ABC-affiliate WSOC and WAXN.

Albritton, an eighth-grader at Davidson Day School, was profiled in a segment on the Jan. 10 bowl game between a squad of American 14-and-under all-stars and the Canadian 15-and-under national team. At defensive tackle, Albritton collected three sacks in the contest.

“Sports Stars of Tomorrow” is hosted by legendary broadcaster Pat Summerall. It is the only high school sports program in national syndication. Started in 2005, SSOT airs in over 90 percent of homes in the United States and has featured such future stars as LeBron James, Sam Bradford and John Wall, as well as U.S. Army All-Americans Chris Wells, Tim Tebow and Matt Barkley.
