DAVIDSON – Students at Community School of Davidson have raised more than $600 to benefit a school and orphanage in Chile.

The charter school’s student organization Cara a Cara, which is Spanish for Face to Face, hosted ¡Chili for Chile! Feb. 24 and raised more than $300.

WBTV, the Herald Weekly’s news partner, gave the student’s fundraiser a $300 boost with an appearance on its Pass 3 On news segment, which donates money to community members who are focused on doing good deeds.

The money will be sent via the Corporacion para la Nutricion Infantil to a school and orphanage in Curico, Chile.

Anyone interested in donating to Cara a Cara, can call the school at 704-897-8061.
