DAVIDSON – McKinney Academy will partner with the Foundation for Respectability to host an anti-bullying concert at the school Sunday, March 27, at 2 p.m.

The concert, which will feature a musical performance by the organization’s education director and local musician Sid Krupkin, will include songs about being bullied, skits with parents and children that demonstrate bullying situations and strategies on how to deal with bullies.

“The event’s musical program was chosen to create audience interaction and allow people to connect emotionally and practically to these pressing issues,” Krupkin said.

The concert will include children from the McKinney Academy Performing Arts Group and will feature musical styles ranging from the folk tradition of the 60s to the modern upbeat songs of today.

Any person interested in or concerned with the issues of bullying, cyber-bulling, intimidation, exclusion and violence is invited to attend the free event. Those who wish to attend may sign up on the school’s website at www.mckinneyacademy.com.
