HUNTERSVILLE – The 15th annual Angels of ’97 spaghetti dinner and auction takes place Saturday, March 19, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the North Mecklenburg High School cafeteria. Organizers of the annual scholarship fundraiser promise a day of food, games and entertainment. The all-you-can-eat meal costs $5, and children younger than 4 eat free.

The event begins at 9 a.m. with the Angels 5K Run-Walk & Fun Run at the high school, 11201 Old Statesville Road. Registration for the 5K costs $25 online at www.angelsof97.com until Thursday, March 17, after which the cost is $30.

Any graduating senior at North Mecklenburg or Hopewell high schools can apply for the scholarship fund, which was created to memorialize students who died 1997 and others since then. Scholarship forms are available online or at the school guidance offices.
