CONCORD – Cannon School is screening “Race to Nowhere,” the critically-acclaimed documentary on the high-pressure, test-obsessed culture surrounding American children and teenagers on March 29 at 6:30 p.m. in Taylor Hall. Cost is $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Tickets are available at www.racetonowhere.com/screenings/cannon-school.
Small group discussions will follow the film, led by Cannon School faculty.
“Race to Nowhere” examines the current U.S. educational system and the high-stakes push to achieve. Featuring the stories of young people who have been pushed to the brink, the film offers an in-depth look at the pressures that are overwhelming students in every kind of school environment and community.
