Hopewell High athletes signed National Letters of Intent on Feb. 2, the first day of the college winter signing period.



Titan girls soccer player Audrey Boyle signed with ­Appalachian State, while teammate Katelyn ­Faucette inked with Charleston ­Southern.



A pair of football players also signed, as Spencer Jones joined Wingate, and Dondre Lewis-Freeman inked with S.C. State.



Faucette was the 2009 ­I-MECK 4A conference ­Player of the Year. In three seasons, the midfielder collected 32 goals and 10 assists and all-conference and all-region honors in 2009 and 2010. Boyle was an all-conference player from in 2009 and 2010 and earned all-region honors as a junior. She has 15 career assists.




Lewis-Freeman was a two-time all-conference running back who led the Titans in rushing the past two seasons, collecting 2,338 yards and 32 touchdowns. Jones was a defensive back with 37 tackles in his senior season.
