• The University of Pittsburgh will pay tribute to Scotty Streiner and other students who have distinguished themselves in academics, service to others and outstanding leadership at its 35th annual Honors Convocation at the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh on Friday, Feb. 25. Streiner, a senior industrial engineering and math major, is the son of Scott and Nora Streiner of Huntersville. He is a 2007 graduate of North Meck High School.
• The following students made the fall-term honor roll at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.: Camille Cobb, of Huntersville; Filmon Sexton, of Huntersville; and Katie Driest, of Davidson.
• Joseph Martino, of Huntersville, was named to the fall 2010 Dean’s List at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Pa. He is a biochemistry student.
• The following students were named to the fall 2010 Dean’s List at Emory College in Atlanta, Ga.: Eric Panicco, of Huntersville, son of Robert and Julie Panicco, and Daniel Kuzmanovich, of Davidson, son of Zoran and Mary Beth Kuzmanovich.
