DAVIDSON – Police aren’t ready to rule the shooting death of a woman as a suicide and are awaiting forensic test results vital to the investigation. Those reports, however, could take months, said Davidson Police Detective Steve Ingram.
Police responded to a reported suicide the morning of Feb. 14 at a condominium on Portside Drive. When paramedics arrived, they found a woman dead of an apparent gunshot wound, reports said.
After subsequent investigation police haven’t ruled on the case and have listed it as a death investigation.
Police are not releasing any information on the investigation but did issue a search warrant last week. Items police were searching for were not made available.
