HUNTERSVILLE – Beginning Thursday, Feb. 17, the town will offer the first Huntersville 101 course, a seven-week class for residents to learn more about the town, its services and its governmental processes.
The town has regular openings for boards and committees, and the course gives participants an edge for such appointments.
Huntersville 101 is free and open to Huntersville residents, but the class is limited to 20 participants. If needed, a selection process will be used to balance the class.
The program kicks off Thursday and then meets for six consecutive Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Participants must be able to commit to this schedule to be considered for the class.
A graduation event will take place at the second board meeting in April.
