DAVIDSON – The Davidson College Student Government Association invites the public to its second annual Dinner at Davidson on Feb. 19.

The event, which will be held in the Lilly Family Gallery in Chambers Building from 6 to 9 p.m., benefits The Davidson Trust financial aid program.

The trust replaces loans in financial aid packages with grant funds so that no Davidson student need graduate with student loan debt. In 2007 Davidson became the first liberal arts college in the country to launch such a program.

The theme of this year’s dinner is “Shaping Community Leaders.” President John Kuykendall, Davidson Mayor John Woods and student beneficiaries of The Davidson Trust will speak at the event. The evening features a gourmet meal, musical entertainment, dancing and a silent auction.
