CHARLOTTE – Discovery Place, in Uptown Charlotte, has opened registration for two-day winter-break camps for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Discovery Place, 301 N. Tryon St., offers the camps Dec. 19 and 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a supervised lunch between noon and 1 p.m.
The camps will divide campers by age, with each age group concentrating on an educational theme. The themes are Pirate and Young Einstein campers for kindergarten and first grade; Extreme Physics and Mummy Mysteries for second through fifth grades; and Egyptology and Surgeon-in-Training for sixth through eighth grades.
Campers should bring a bag lunch or money to purchase lunch in Discovery Place’s Community Café, and they also may bring nut-free snacks. For more information about registration and costs, call 704-372-6261 ext. 300.
